This year’s celebration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at Taman Safari Bali took place in a unique way. It was not only people who joined in commemorating this historic occasion. A number of animals from Taman Safari Bali also took part in the flag ceremony, creating a memorable moment that combined the spirit of independence, education, and appreciation for wildlife.
The celebration became even more engaging with the presence of several animals that are part of the distinctive Taman Safari Bali experience, including elephants, Brahminy kites, parrots, cockatoos, and various reptiles such as snakes, along with many other species. Their participation added a unique element to the occasion while demonstrating how the spirit of independence can be presented through wildlife education and conservation.
For Taman Safari Bali, involving animals in the celebration was not simply about creating a unique attraction. It was also part of an effort to bring people closer to the animal world. The service provides visitors with more convenient access, particularly those staying in Bali’s main tourism areas. Shuttle services are currently available from locations including Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, Jimbaran, and other areas, with pick-ups operating according to available schedules and advance reservations.
“We want visiting Taman Safari Bali to be increasingly convenient, particularly for travellers staying in Bali’s main tourism areas. Through our free shuttle programme, we hope more visitors will have easy access to Gianyar and be able to experience the safari firsthand,” said M.
