Fury, undefeated in professional boxing, has a notable connection to WWE through his brother Tyson, who competed once at WWE Crown Jewel 2019. Former NXT North American Champion Oba Femi has been absent from WWE NXT tapings since his loss to Tony D’Angelo at the Halloween Havoc event on October 27. Femi, who debuted on NXT’s televised program in April 2023, quickly ascended by winning the NXT Breakout Tournament and securing the North American Championship with a memorable title cash-in against Dragon Lee. His title reign lasted a record 272 days before losing to D’Angelo last month.
The reason for his absence is unclear, with speculation ranging from a possible main roster call-up to a creative reset following back-to-back losses.
