Pelindo Completes Land Legalization for Bali Maritime Tourism Hub in Benoa
Denpasar, Bali – PT Pelindo (Persero) Sub Regional Bali and Nusa Tenggara has finalized the land taxation and legalization process for the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH) project located in the Benoa Port area, Denpasar. This strategic national project is being developed in collaboration with the Denpasar City Government to ensure transparent and accountable governance.
The completed legalization covers Development Area I, spanning 24.77 hectares. This section includes facilities such as a marina, entertainment venues, retail and lifestyle outlets, as well as the Segara Kerthi Park. Focus will next shift to Development Area II, which covers 45 hectares designed for energy zones, cargo services, logistics, and an additional segment of Segara Kerthi Park. This phase requires cross-agency coordination to secure legal certainty, comply with local tax regulations, and optimize asset management.
The asset management group leader, Imam Rahmiyadi, has engaged with Denpasar city officials, including Secretary I Gusti Ngurah Eddy Mulya and the local Taxation Agency, to discuss and facilitate legal processes for the project. Once fully legalized, the BMTH project will provide legal certainty over port land management and support regional income enhancement.
The development is projected to stimulate investment and economic growth, strengthening Bali’s position as an international maritime tourism destination, opening new investment opportunities, and creating employment. Well-organized and certified port infrastructure is expected to improve services for cruise ships, yachts, and logistical activities, directly benefiting Bali’s small and medium enterprises and creative economy sectors.
This initiative aligns with broader efforts to establish Benoa Port as a premier hub for maritime tourism and economic activity in Bali.
